Online Banking Update
Sound Community Bank is performing an upgrade to our Online Banking system over the weekend of June 20th - 23rd.
There are a few things that you should be aware of after the upgrade:
Passwords will be reset to the last four digits of your Social Security Number. You will be prompted to select a new password. Your password must be a minimum of 6 characters. It must contain at least 1 alpha and 1 numeric character. Your User ID will remain the same, but will be set to all lowercase letters. Example: If your User ID is Sound34 today, it will now be sound34 on the new system. If it is SOUND, it will become sound.
E-Statement Re-enrollment. If you currently use E-Statements, please re-enroll in E-Statements. This is a two step process you will automatically be directed to when you click on the "Statements" link.
Scheduled Transfers must be re-established. If you currently have scheduled transfers in online banking they must be established in the new system. We are sorry for the inconvenience. This DOES NOT apply to transfers that a bank employee has set up for you. It ONLY applies to transfers that you established in Online Banking.
Access to VISA information. VISA information will not be immediately available in Online Banking after the upgrade. You will still be able to access your VISA information by logging into www.managemycreditcard.com or by calling 1-877-881-6018 for VISA customer support.
Some major benefits to the new system include:
Running Intraday Balances. Account Balances will be updated with intraday transactions and running account balances. This should make the account history easier to understand.
Enhanced Security. You will be presented with a picture and personal phrase each time that you use Online Banking that will assure you that you are on the Sound Community Bank website. In addition, you will be able to register your computer or computers that you regularly log in from to ensure that only you have access to your personal financial information.
Integrated E-Statements. You will no longer be transferred to a third party website to access your E-statements. This will improve ease of access. Up to 24 months of historical statements will be available in the new system.
External Transfers. You can make transfers to and from other financial institutions using Online Banking. This makes managing your finances even easier.
Customize Account Names. You can choose a custom name for your various accounts. For example you could name your Mortgage Loan "Home Loan" or your checking account "Joe's Checking". You also have the option to hide an account from displaying on the Accounts Overview page.
Order Checks. You can order checks under the Customer Service tab. If you have previously ordered checks on this account in the past 24 months, you can place reorders for checks online.
Account History Downloads. There will be four formats available to download your account information:
Quicken® software. Uses Web Connect.
Microsoft® Money. Creates an Active Statement.
QIF. Can be used by Microsoft Money or Quicken 2004 or previous. Only one account at a time can be specified when creating a QIF file.
CSV. Can be used by a spreadsheet program. Only one account at a time can be specified when creating a CSV file.
You can be notified via email of the following events pertaining to your accounts:
Minimum Balance. Notifies you when the account balance is below the minimum amount specified. You will be notified each day that the balance is below the minimum.
Maximum Balance. Notifies you when the account balance is above the maximum amount specified. You will be notified each day that the balance is above the maximum.
Transfer - Completed. Notifies you when a scheduled transfer is complete. You will receive an alert for each transfer between this account and either an account at a different financial organization or another one you have with us.
Transfer - Failed. Notifies you when a scheduled transfer has not been completed. You will receive an alert for each failed transfer between this account and either an account at a different financial organization or another account you have with us.
