Geoffrey Reiman has been in banking for over 10 years, serving in many different roles including Teller, Universal Banker, Assistant Branch Manager, and Branch Manager. Geoffrey joined Sound Community Bank at the end of 2017 as the Branch Manager for our new Belltown Branch and is excited to have the opportunity to support and partner with the Belltown and greater Puget Sound area. In addition to joining Sound Community Bank, Geoffrey has joined the Belltown Business Association as Treasurer.

Maria Carbullido

Maria Carbullido is responsible for sales, service, branch operations, leadership and employee development, while ensuring that the team is consistently providing clients with superior quality service.  Maria has been in the banking industry for 13 years, starting her banking career with Sound Community Bank as a Part Time teller and served in several aspects of Retail and Lending. Maria is a graduate of the Consumer Lending and Compliance Program, Retail Management Program and Executive Development Program through the Washington Bankers Association.

Maria was raised in a retail environment on Guam. Her Grandparents had a small retail store where she learned she had a passion for customer service and developing customer relationships. In her spare time, she likes to spend her time cooking with her family and serves as a member of the Associates Board for Cancer Pathways, Education Board for Financial Education Public Private Partnership (FEPPP), and is an instructor for Financial Education with Urban Financial Coalition Services. Maria is also a member of the President’s Club with Sound Community Bank.

Laurie Szczepczynski

Laurie Szczepczynski is responsible for leadership of the Retail Banking team, including guidance of all aspects of branch operations, overseeing employee development and ensuring that branches consistently providing clients with superior quality service.  Laurie has been in the banking industry for 34 years, starting her banking career as a teller, and subsequently serving in many roles in branch banking including Personal Banker, Teller Supervisor, Branch Manager, and Business Development Officer.

A long-time resident of Port Angeles, Laurie was raised in a retail environment in downtown Port Angeles where she learned from her parents that providing phenomenal customer service and developing strong, positive relationships with people are the key drivers of a successful business.  Laurie attended Port Angeles High School, Peninsula College, and is a graduate of the Washington Banker’s Association Executive Development Program.  Laurie’s focus is to invest her time, talent, and resources in the community where she lives and works.  In her spare time, Laurie enjoys spending time with her family and is active with Rotary and the Port Angeles Chamber of Commerce.

Michele Sorrentino

Michele Sorrentino has been a banker for 35+ years, serving in various retail banking roles from teller to branch management.  Michele has been with Sound Community Bank for over 19 years and Branch Manager at Sound Community Bank for 15 years. Michele is currently responsible for all aspects branch operations, which include ensuring the best possible client service nurturing employee development.

Michele served on the board of Sequim Chamber of Commerce and believes in investing in the communities in which we do business. She is passionate about fundraising for local organizations such as the Port Angeles Symphony, Sequim Boys & Girls Club, the Sequim Food Bank, and the Sequim Irrigation Festival. When not working, Michele loves to spend time with her husband traveling locally on the Olympic Peninsula, working in her garden or mowing her lawn.

Julie Hatch


VP | Olympic Peninsula Business Development Officer

Our Olympic Peninsula Business Development Officer, Julie Hatch is responsible for building new relationships, establishing new deposit and loan business, retaining existing business relationships and ensuring that she as well as the branch teams are consistently providing our clients with outstanding service. She will also oversees the branches in the absence of the Manager.  Julie has been in the banking industry for 35 years, beginning her career as a teller, then progressing thru various other roles in the retail branch including New Accounts Representative,  Administrative Assistant to the President, Loan processor, Personal Banker, Branch Manager and she also held her Insurance and Series 6 & 63 Investment Licenses.

Julie believes in investing in the communities you live and work in and that is exemplified by her involvement and leadership in many community organizations and boards.  She is currently an executive board member of the Olympic Medical Center Foundation, a member of the East Jefferson Rotary Club, the Port Angeles Unit of the Boys and Girls Club, the Port Angeles Business Association and is a member and Ambassador for the Sequim Chamber of Commerce.  She is thankful for the trust and respect she has earned from her clients and community leaders.  When Julie is not working or volunteering she enjoys spending time with her granddaughter and family who frequently assist her in her community service projects.  She loves the beautiful Olympic Peninsula and enjoys hiking, biking, rock hounding, camping and shooting with the Peninsula Long Rifle group.
