In 1953 we started providing financial services to the employees of the grocery wholesaler, Associated Grocers. Originally chartered as a credit union, we continued to expand our products and services over the years.  We now serve more than 25,000 households and businesses through eight retail branches and one loan production office. Our Bank manages nearly $1.5 billion dollars in assets. Loan products include consumer, residential and business products for individuals and businesses in our region.

If you’re looking for a local bank with all of the accounts and services plus leading edge technology we are here for you.  We have a commitment to personal service and making all your banking needs easy, accessible and transparent.  We hope you’ll take a look around our site.  Let us put our years of experience and superior service to work for you!

Our Commitment to You

We promise to make banking with us simply better than anywhere else!  That means that we will be transparent about our terms and rates.  We will also offer a combination of retail and electronic delivery channels that make it easy and accessible to do business with us when it is convenient for you!  You can take a picture of a check or stop by to see us and make a deposit.  Tell us about your personal and business needs and we will work together to determine the right banking products and services to meet your needs and achieve your financial goals.  With competitive rates, convenient access and a significant choice of both loan and deposit options, we are here to help!

Our Commitment to Our Community

We pride ourselves on being a quality corporate citizen and responsive to the needs of our local communities.  At Sound Community Bank, "community" is more than just our middle name. We sponsor and participate in community events and ensure that our clients and neighbors know we are their partner and their neighbor.

Since 2015, we remain one of the top corporate philanthropists in the Pacific Northwest, according to the Puget Sound Business Journal.

In addition to company involvement, our employees log hundreds of hours of community service to different organizations such as Girls Scouts, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys and Girls Club, Woodland Park Zoo, Make-a-Wish, Relay for Life, Arthritis Foundation, American Heart Association, Sequim Irrigation Festival, North Olympic Land Trust, Port Angeles Farmers Market, Mountlake Terrace Night Out, and many, many more! The Bank has been recognized by the Puget Sound Business Journal with numerous Corporate Citizenship Awards and by the American Bankers Association with a Community Bank Leadership Award for "Revitalizing Your Community."
